How subscriptions charge a card

A subscription charges the same card on every renewal date, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. The first payment often comes with a small verification charge that is refunded, and some services also check that the card's country matches the country of your account.

Why use a separate card

A card used only for subscriptions keeps those charges apart from everything else. One card per service makes each renewal easy to find, and your main bank card is never stored with a streaming or software service.

Choosing the right card

For most services a Visa or Mastercard works well.     Once your card is ready, its number, expiry date, CVV and billing details are in My cards. Add them to the platform's billing settings.
